L'DOR V'DOR – From Generation to Generation
Providing the Opportunity to Pass Brett Gottlieb's Values to His Daughter, Mira
While Brett was not an observant Jew, his actions in life mirrored Jewish values, particularly with respect to Tikkun Olam, making the world a better place. As evidenced by the outpouring of love, support, and grief on hearing of his death, Brett profoundly impacted the many people to whom he gave a piece of himself. He was also involved in giving to those he did not directly know and actively demonstrated a strong commitment to social causes. Brett unquestionably left this world a better place during his life – a legacy that will continue long into the future.
Before he died, Brett was looking forward to providing Mira, his daughter, the opportunity to participate in making the world a better place by allowing her to designate a portion of his annual charitable gifts. In his stead, we are fulfilling his wish to provide Mira this opportunity by creating the Brett R. Gottlieb Memorial Fund.
Through the Jewish Community Foundation of Los Angeles Tribute Fund, resources will be built for Mira to make donations to charitable organizations of her choosing. Whether through one-time or annual gifts, a naming opportunity in memory of her dad or otherwise, it will be Mira's to choose. And, without any urgency to immediately spend the funds, she can take as much time as she needs to research and determine the direction of her giving.
In memory of our dear brother Brett and in honor of his cherished daughter Mira, we invite you to join us in donating to the Fund and, thereby, keeping Brett's memory alive through two important Jewish values: L'dor V'dor – from one generation to another; and Tikkun Olam – making the world a better place. We welcome your participation and extend to you our sincere gratitude.
Your tax-deductible donation to The Foundation will be credited to the Brett R. Gottlieb Memorial Fund to support 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations recommended by Mira Gottlieb.
The Jewish Community Foundation of Los Angeles ("Foundation") is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Contributions to The Foundation are tax-deductible. The Foundation's tax identification number is 95-6111928.

Advisers may recommend grants from the Fund to 501(c)3 nonprofits, Jewish or otherwise, locally, nationally and in Israel. The Foundation legally controls the Fund and vets all grantees. View or download information about Donor Advised Funds.
Tax receipts for online donations are available immediately via email and download.
